Hi there Wonderfunk , I have no problem sharing any of that , the current cost in $2,500 per eye . Do you get any refund from private health insurance ? generally NO ..this is not written in blood , however you would need a super doper plethora costing medical insurance to get something back , if you do spend the 5 k ( in one financial year ) I believe you would be entitled to a government rebate of around $650 , but please do your own research on this ,,any clinic can inform you .
For me ( im in Victoria ) I had a referal , that I never used for over 10 years to Vista aser Eyes in Elsternwick , I dont want to be seen as a promoter of a commercial enterprise, however the surgeon there does do a wonderful job .
I didnt rush into this , I also looked at opportunities overseas , but my particular script meant I may have to go back ( as it happens I will NOT have too ) . In the end , I think the only option overseas for me was Singapore , Thailand has some great Surgeons also , but felt too risky ..but fine if you have a straight forward script .
Anyhow ..Im about 1 month off doing the 2 nd eye , So Im really looking forward to that ! ( this is my better eye ) ..but NOT anymore !
