watso, i didn't realize that afghanastan was about an oil pipeline.....interesting.
i wonder where the world might be today if the US had of taken all the money spent on the war for oil....errr, i mean the war on terror....and spent the lot on renewable energy research
getting off track here a bit I know but more and more i wonder if hydrogen power is not the answer. The world is 2/3 covered with water....we have piles of hydrogen. and when you burn hydrogen you get water.
Now if the US could just put in 2 wars worth of bucks, helped now by the russians with what they may spend in georga, we may be able to figure out how to remove hydrogen from water SAFELY using only sun, wind and gravity.
