According to the ASX website, a trading halt can only be granted for two trading days. The fact that a trading halt was sought until the commencement of trading on Tuesday indicates to me the company is just seeking the maximum time so it can make sure it has enough time to respond adequately.
Ive held other companies that have needed a halt to respond to ASX queries that sought the two days but made an announcement after only a short period of time.
I don't think anyone should read anything into the two days halt thing.
