The only way most people could possibly buy a house is to borrow and generally you will be buying an appreciating asset, that eventually you will own outright.
The majority of things that people will be buying on Afterpay are items that will give them instant gratification and boost their sagging self esteem and give them some "social cred". Clothes, make up, jewellery, etc etc.
