It is true. My electricity provider has confirmed it. Australia is still a predominantly coal fired economy, emissions from small ICE’s are far less than if I had an EV.

You can’t buy 100% renewable energy if you’re connected to a grid with FF inputs. Electrons aren’t quarks, you can’t tell which ones are green .... you can pay extra for the feel-good bit, but you’re not getting what you pay for.

I would be very sceptical of prices on car sales.com.au. As in, try selling one for that price yourself.

And new ones are more expensive for you.
