Like any old religious relic, they are all contradictory. You can make of them what you will. It comes down to people how they relate to other religions. Some will use the scriptures one way, some another way. Simple observation with your own eyes will show that muslims cover the gambit from good to bad. Punish the bad fairly and there will be less of them around. Persecute the whole people and what do you expect.
