The reflective nature of wide golden brown paddocks does upset the rainfall pattern.
A nice green colour with the trees transpiring water vapour as rain bearing clouds pass over gives a higher chance of rainfall.
If a water laden cloud passes over a hot golden brown patch with no water vapours rising but a higher temperature the clouds will hang onto their precious gifts.
Farms alongside stretches of bushland get better better rainfall than the farms out in the sparse flat treeless areas.
That’s why finishing rains for feral crops can be such a bugger at times, just when the Cocky wants one or two more inches the rain seems to bunny hop over the paddocks.
