If a water laden cloud passes over a hot golden brown patch with no water vapours rising but a higher temperature the clouds will hang onto their precious gifts.

Farms alongside stretches of bushland get better better rainfall than the farms out in the sparse flat treeless areas.

That’s why finishing rains for feral crops can be such a bugger at times, just when the Cocky wants one or two more inches the rain seems to bunny hop over the paddocks.

Of course El Niño is an extra pain in the Derrè

zip was reading an article whereby they have discovered that the indian ocean dipole is more of an influencer to Australian climate than el nino

most west aussies could have told them that because australias weather patterns begin in perth - which coincidentally is the economic hub of australia
