I think it's pretty ironic for a central bank to be complaining about a supposed lack of pricing/information transparency harming markets.

merchants already using afterpay won't charge surcharges, or upfront fees. I believe apt added that clause because of a prisoners dilemma risk when it didn't have a lot of merchants onboard. That risk is much smaller now imo.
