the diagnosis of the disease tested for the most part aren't complicated at all. Antibiotics are over prescribed due to many factors and this product won't solve it. I have never prescribed antibiotics for croup or asthma, in line with the vast majority of my colleagues. you do get the occasional child that may be severely unwell with croup/asthma/bronchiolitis/<1 month if age that gets antibiotics and an app isn't going to make me not do it in these cases. believe the app vs kids dies as app is wrong >10% of the time.

this study hasn't shown the product to be superior to a doctor and in fact has not shown it to be non-inferior. wasn't there hypothesis that it would be non-inferior?

I find it odd that they are excited about the agreeable rates with asthma for example when the cough analyser had the additional piece of information that there was audible wheeze! FFS, >95% of kids that present to the ED with audible wheeze have asthma. I want a app/analyser that tells me which ones don't have asthma when I think they do.

anyway, there are so many problems with this study that I wouldn't touch this product yet.
