    INDEE EXPLORATION PROGRAMME AND UPDATE
    • Site visit to Indee by NWME technical personnel
    • Indee Exploration programme prepared
    • NWME agreements being finalised
Range River Gold Ltd (RNG) advised in their recent Quarterly Activity Report that the Technical Committee established between RNG and the North West Mining and Geological Exploration Bureau for Non Ferrous Metals (NWME) was to meet in August 2008. The role of the Technical Committee is to develop the exploration programme for RNG’s Indee Project in the farm in agreement between RNG and NWME.
That meeting was held in Melbourne on the 5th & 6th August 2008. The meeting followed a site visit by the Technical Committee and other technical staff from the NWME.
The Technical Committee have developed a two stage work programme. The focus of each will be:
The stage one programme will involve exploration activities over the full width of the Mallina Shear Zone hosting the Withnell mineralisation from Calvert in the east to the Dromedary deposit in the west, a distance of 16 kilometres.
This work will include mapping at 1:10,000 scale, and 2000-3000 metres of trenching and sampling. Diamond drilling of approximately 10,000 metres will be completed on a number of sections across the zone in order to better quantify the structural setting and better understand the geological control and characteristics of the mineralisation. A programme of RC drilling of 50,000 metres is proposed to follow.
A second stage programme will involve reconnaissance work over the rest of the tenement area to follow up the original geochemistry sampling and to test anomalous structural settings by further drilling.
As previously reported, the target of the exploration programme is the sulphide gold mineralisation that was confirmed in a drilling programme in November 2006. That programme of eight drill holes totalling 2,036 metres in the Withnells area demonstrated that gold mineralisation can be continuous to 300 metres depth. The results of the programme correlated well with the gold mineralised shoots that were defined in the shallower levels of the ore body.
Subject to finalisation of the agreements between RNG and the NWME, the plan is to commence activity in the fourth quarter of 2008. The two stage programme identified above is expected to be completed during 2009.
Draft definitive agreements based on the letter agreements signed by RNG and the NWME have been forwarded to NWME’s lawyers and are currently under review. On execution of the agreements, PRC and Australian FIRB approval will be sought finalising the conditions precedent of the agreements.
The NWME will supply a team of geologists, geo-technicians and drill rigs to undertake the programme. Australian 457 short term visas will be required for the NWME personnel to work on the project. A migration consultant fully conversant with similar visa applications has been appointed to expeditiously assist in finalising the Australian 457 visa applications. This activity will be progressed in parallel to the finalisation of the definitive agreements.
!!!!!457 visas now that is some team?????
