I think your earlier point about management is still justified. Verification of the results and an investigation into the possibility of an accidental switch could have happened prior to the release of results. The trial could potentially have been salvaged if BOT were able to conclusively point to a switch by testing leftover product, instead of simply pointing to a discrepancy between the US and AUS.
