There are a lot of short term traders in the market so they will exploit any piece of information or tool to assist them in their pumping and dumping activities. Kind of amusement to long term FA investors who have done their research but they also create buying opportunities like today in BOT. You can't make a leopard change its spots. This has been going on for over 100 years. For anyone interested there is a good book called Reminiscences of a Stock Operator by Edwin Lefèvre.
