Please don't push that narrative. I read both forums every day and hardly anyone says that. I only post on the TMT forum as I don't hold AVL and I usually don't feel the need to say anything.
There has been a difference in the way the two companies have been managed. AVL for example likes to advertise and push out announcements, hence more interest. AVL is also a much older company and comes across as a better "speccy stock" because of the much lower share price.
Your next door neighbor is going through probably the most important 2 months is has ever had to go through and no one is going to pull the trigger on investment decisions because it could either be the most amazing 2 months or the worst. People who have their shares are locked in and waiting, new investors will wait for the new year. Therefore, low volume of trades.
Comparing the two companies is not as simple as people like to think it is.
