No Minis are different to warrants that are worthless when they hit the stop - when the stop is hit on minis you get roughly the difference between the stop level and the strike price less the spread . Yes there is a market maker - you wouldn't have a problem with liquidity on ASX 100 stocks
Yes you can go short using minis but unlike CFDs you cant lose more than your initial outlay - mini shorts are a derivative product and dont require a stock lender and they are not reported in ASIC short reports
