I have listened to Indian political leaders speak on the question of autonomous vehicles not being relevant at their stage of economic development cycle as driving is a major source of employment there being over 27 million professional drivers in India.
On the other hand Tata is one of the largest commercial vehicle manufacturers in the world and owns the Jaguar and Range Rover brands and serves a world market hungry for Level 5 autonomous vehicles particularly Level 5 autonomous commercial vehicles.
