    Hi names,

The Mauritius Commercial Bank is a member of the equator principals. they have funded 3 projects that are subject to the Equator Principals.

It is likely that KNL/EcoGraf was looking at securing funds form the MCB to fund ecograf Tanzania?

Has anyone spent any time looking into KNL connection with the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation ?

I have to admit when I read the original ASX announcement I thought, any government agency will support development in its own state.
It was not until I read a post from @MaxAction on another G page,

    Max's post
I did that same research, by going through the PLS announcements yesterday and yes it was very interesting, lots of reading but very educational. The thing that might have helped to speed it up for PLS though, was the fact that firstly the project was situated in Australia and secondly that the Clean Energy Finance Corporation, a corporate entity of the Australian Government, became a cornerstone investor by taking up a large part of the $100 million bond issue.
In my mind two very important points, which may also have helped the following $ 80 million CR inclusive of $20 million by an offtake partner for the equity part. After this there was still a SPP for an extra $15 million to eligible shareholders.

PLS secured through the Clean Energy Finance Corporation a US$15 million cornerstone commitment (around AUD 20 million) to a US$100 million senior secured bond issuance.

The announcement attached to this thread had the following comment:

The Western Australian Government is providing strong support and has allocated Kibaran land in Kwinana near Perth. Financing discussions are well underway for debt and equity with both Government and industry groups. This funding is underpinned by offtake support from major industrial groups in the sector.

With EcoGraf being a State-significant project, having our own assigned public servant that is to assist the company in securing all of its approvals, the JTSI has a link on the Future battery Industry Strategy webpage al all of the grants/government funding that is available for the Future Battery Industry Strategy (including CEFC) and it appears by the comment above from this announcement, we almost have our offtake agreements complete,

Will KNL be the next battery commodity to follow PLS's funding from the CEFC?

I think this is something we should be talking about, rather than what intentions KNL had with EcoGraf Tanzania or Mauritius.
