I think the first thing to do is to get a massive vote AGAINST the remuneration vote at the AGM.
i am not knowledgeable enough to know of any other corporate plan to oust a manager or director.
Of course things MAY improve as opposed to become significantly worse. If you have a look at the NSC share price and graph after they took over CTN (Contango Asset Management) things went nowhere but downhill (and still are) but there has been an improvement in the SP of NSC. One can hope that Karl will (as a holder of something like 22 mil shares) have learnt something and that his pain mimics ours.
As opposed to HML (also a listed LIC) where management seems to have been conducting a pea and thimble or card shuffling exercise and SH are struggling to see the light. A number of posters are attracted to the significant discount of the SP to NTA. As far as I’m concerned, the wider the discount, the more of a red flag of warning it is to buying the stock. Merely hoping that the discount will narrow, is, IMHO not sufficient justification for buying. ATM I am holding and hoping that time and Karl’s vested interests in restoring his personal wealth will regain at least some of the significant losses sustained recently.
