who said that's where the threat will come from? who said there was a message in the Bali bombing? Terrorism doesn't deal in messages, it deals in terror.
it has no geographical centre, by now it's everywhere. it gives no warning. a week ago, the French were warned about three bomb attacks on trains unless they pay a huge ransom.
the Spanish mob gave no warning, asked for nothing. do you think we'll get advance warning? a notice in the mail, perhaps? best you stay home on (insert date) stay away from town hall station between the hours of (insert time).....
amory's latest book (Torturer, terrorist etc) deals with the topic in an offbeat amusing, casual sort of way. as usual, amory will be unable to find a publisher. perhaps it's better that way. frighten the horses, what good would that do?
