Given the short data coming out of shortman and PLS still down near 30-35 on the top 100 short list now in combination with the covering action in and around the SPP, you’d have to think that an aweful lot of covering took place a few weeks ago. I don’t think many would want to be hanging on to PLS short positions for too much longer. Maybe they’re waiting for the next quarterly to come out (the position of which has been well telegraphed by the company for a long time now). After that ... you’d want to have an absolute iron constitution to hold a short for much longer.
