    It is still possible that the properties may have been withdrawn from sale as the credit crisis eases.

    As long as the bankers remain confident of the value of the security they hold. Maybe they were just testing the market for "expressions of interest".

    Evidently the Australian assets are holding up very well in the blizzard. The value can only improve going forward...why sell now?

    Banks make their big profits from lending to good commercial clients.....especially when they can get away with charging interest rates with a high margin of profit,
    ...as is the case in the current environment.
