i'm not surprised that BOT have not identified a specific flaw in the trial, it would invalidate and void the whole thing. they would then be forced to repeat the trial at great cost and loss of time.
the alternative was to present the trial outcome as positive overall, but noting the obvious discrepancies. put measures in place to ensure reliable/consistent supply, and drive right into phase 3 where they expect results will prove concrete.
frustrating for us, sure. but i can really only see those two possible paths, both painful, one progressive.
