    @ywtoh,

    Moreso that any of the other Fluence SPS products, the Ecobox looks like straight plug and play.

    This particular installation for Ternium Siderar looks pretty simple, as there is no need for the underground sewage pipes of MABR/SUBRE and no need for the long intake and discharge pipes of Nirobox. These EcoBox simply take the effluent, run it through RO and UF and then it is re-used onsite. Does not look like heavy industrial water direct from the steel works, looks like more general greywater or similar.

    Mario Pastinante, President of Fluence Argentina and General Director of Fluence Corporation for South America argues: “The inefficient use of water is an important factor in its shortage worldwide. Through the reuse of effluents, EcoBox users can protect natural sources of fresh water. In addition, it has a minimal impact, with low energy consumption and low use of chemical products, which benefits companies and industries in every way. ”

    Among its main advantages, the reuse of effluents, the decrease in the consumption of raw water, the volume of effluent to dispose and the costs of its dumping stand out. Using in this case the Ultrafiltration and Reverse Osmosis technologies, the EcoBox system is easy to install, in a small area, with the possibility of expanding simply because it is a modular system.

    I saw mention of another possible Ecobox use in July, for cleaning up the 2 lagoons in Caleta Olivia, which are heavily polluted with arsenic and hydrocarbons (from oil wells). It has now been confirmed.

    “EcoBox” is already in the city and will drink water from the lagoon to be processed for irrigation

    Eco Box is a treatment system to reuse water, installed in containers and this time it will be tested in the Caleta Olivia lagoon; The water that is recovered will be used in the first instance by the Club San Jorge to irrigate its playing field.

    The ECO BOX consists of a basic ultra-effluent filtration technology that will ensure a safe and constant supply of water. It can produce 5 to 10 cubic meters per hour of filtered water, running for 24 hours. a day, this means that a day would filter a total of 240 cubic meters of water equivalent to 240,000 liters of the vital element. With the idea of commenting on the work of this type of equipment, the Secretary of PlanningIng was present at the Club. Mauro Zacarias and the Sports Supervisor Prof. **riel Murúa on behalf of the Mayor Facundo Prades.

    As of Wednesday of next week, the Company's Technicians will analyze the water physically and chemically to see if due to the salinity it may contain, any additional must be added; See the water conditions once filtered for use and calculate the amount of water in the lagoon so as not to empty it. This treatment will allow not only to irrigate the San Jorge Club court (which needs 10,000 liters), but also the different green spaces of the city.

    On this issue, the Secretary of Planning, Mr. Mauro Zacarías , said: “We are very happy because seven months ago when we started the first conversations with the people of the Club and because of the efforts that have been made when we brought the completion of the Plant of Osmosis, we were talking with this company that is dedicated to everything that is the reuse and treatment of effluents and we told him that we would very much like to recover the synthetic grass from the rugby court, that's when the proposal for the company was born send this equipment to the ECO BOX, then two days ago they gave us the news that they had sent this equipment and on Wednesday the people of the company will be coming to start doing the water tests ”.

    Also, he said: “the idea is to recover the water for irrigation of the San Jorge Club court because this equipment has a very similar operation to the plant but without osmosis, then the water would be taken from the lagoon that goes through a process of pre filtered by rings where large particles are deposited, then continues by an ultrafilter containing membranes that consist of a diameter approximately the size of a hair with pores that are equivalent to one millionth of a millimeter, these are the that they will contain all the biological contaminants, whether they are viruses or bacteria and a quality water would come out; then the ultraviolet treatment that destroys the bacteria in 99.99% m continues, that is to say that we are going to have a quality water perhaps better than what we have in the network ”.

    On the sanitation of the lagoon, he said: “ This system will also allow us to gradually clean it and in this way we will continue to act on infectious foci. Likewise, the company has promised to green one more lung in the city that would be the lagoon and through this same water once recovered, it would have for the irrigation of the sector ”.

    He also projected in the future the possibility of this system being installed throughout the city, “we have been working with the company four months ago, providing data through Planning to see how the different neighborhoods are distributed and what is the population we have By zone, this would allow us to make modular plants in the different sectors that can treat sewage tributaries that by combining them with this type of systems we will generate water to continue watering, then we saw the possibility of solving the sewage system to decompress the old network a little by giving it response to the lack of it in the city ”.

    In the same way the President of the Club San Jorge Horacio "Chiche" Serra , said: "We are very happy and have been explaining how this system works, so we will be a kind of test, so we hope that very soon it is active, because in the future these modules could be installed throughout Caleta ” , and added: “ the idea is to be able to irrigate our field, since it does not have grass, it must be done continuously so that the land we place on it is not blown away, surely if everything goes as planned in the future we can have enough water to have a suitable playing field for our practices. ”

    On the other hand, the Infant Rugby Coordinator Justo “Tito” Quintana , mentioned: “the truth is that we are very happy because this was something that the Mayor Facundo Prades had told us, a while ago and well today we have the plant here, which It is something that helps us to dream as a Club to grow, so it is a great joy and we want to thank you for keeping your word. ”

    Finally, the Sports Supervisor. Prof. **riel Murúa affirmed: “This is another clear example of the work between the state and the private sector, which seeks the growth and strengthening of all sectors,” and added: “it is a pilot test that we hope will serve and be the solution for the eternal problem of sewage effluents in the city. This is a demonstration of management and seeing the joy of the club people puts us more than good. ”

    Seems like something that is starting to build some momentum in Argentina and a good business opportunity to keep an eye on if it spreads further once the pilot at Caleta Olivia has had some time for testing.
