You could be right.
People fear change. Even when they can see it's all changed slowly into something they didn't vote for or want they're frightened of it quickly changing back to what it was or should be. The ones in government doing it slowly over time are traitors to their electorate or fools being led by party policy.

I would volunteer to man a polling station and hand out the pamphlets I want it so bad.
