I can only speculate that the gb spod isn't/wasn't for sale, 100% is spoken for by the shareholders/offtakers. The Gb operation is fully integrated, making the spod much more valuable to Tianqi/ Albemarle in its derivative form (hydroxide / carbonate) than if they were to sell it raw. The margins are healthier downstream.
This assumes they have the conversion capacity to accomodate the increased production from gb, which is probably a fair assumption.
