"No further geotechnical drilling is required at Manono with the work completed by AVZ's technical team considered to be of such a high standard that logging and check work by AVZ's independent consultant will suffice".

Okay but what does that mean exactly? Considered by who? Suffice to who ? - an independent consultant who will be JORC competent and attest to that? Or just considered by Nigel ?

I though once the water was out of the pit drilling on the pit floor was to happen to define the resource near surface and to perhaps improve inferred and indicated in that area to indicated and measured.

One reason I'm a bit wary of this statement is I've been following progress on route 617 into Manono on the ACGT facebook site and there doesn't seem to have been an update since september 25 when they were blasting sections of the road north of Mitwaba wider so that transport could pass on opposing lanes. Since then no further reports but other reports on the same site talk of the the end of dry season being at the gates of Lubumbashi. My impression is that there is still a lot of road work to be done to get to Manono by the end of the construction season for phase 1 (the unsealed stage) of the road refurburbishment. The end of the dry season means the end of construction generally and the route 617 is the route that has been used to bring in drilling rigs previously.

So I'm questioning if the lack of an access route in the wet season for getting drilling rigs in is actually behind the quoted statement?

Are others reading that statement as there being, now, no plans to drill down to define the area immediately below the pit floor when it is drained?
