Its not about not investing, its about managing your risk. By continuing to buy a stock when the market has been telling you that your judgement is wrong is plain stupid. The collective market is smarter and better informed than any of us (except the experts here of course) so why keep assuming that you know better? It's not a matter of market being inefficient in the short term either, this has been going on for well over a year. Do you really believe that a few on hotcopper know the lithium market better than everyone else in the world?
I'm not saying its going to zero but is that the only time you'll accept you may be wrong?
Buying more and more as it goes lower will only compound your losses and dig you deeper in the hole, not to mention the fact that it clouds your judgement on other investments. That strategy might work 1-2 times out of 10. The rest of the time it leads to big losses. I know some will cherry pick trades and tell me how it worked for them on xyz stock but they conveniently omit the ones where it didn't work.
