I don't know about that, everyday I look at my initial portfolio watch list (which is a duplicate of my original portfolio of holdings when I shifted from bossing people around all day to trading full time on my own) - to keep me miserable, and there are a few shares there that if I had just held 'em and never traded would have made me several million dollars in the volumes I held them. So if I'd just left all my money in that original portfolio and spent the next 8 years or so sitting on a beach drinking cocktails, I'd be millions richer right now than I am, and I wouldn't be defensive trading GXY while it plunged for the last 18 months. I wouldn't have to hold my breath every morning for 6 minutes and then another 30 minutes while APT opened and stretched its legs and spend my days with my eyes glued to monitors watching a sea of numbers swim past looking for patterns. No. I don't call it lucky, I do call it fun, but then so is a beach, a cocktail and my beautiful wife. We all make choices. At least I am free, and the wife is still beautiful. And GXY is starting to look pretty hot too.
