Such as the US depression from 1929 to 1942. From 1942 the Dow Jones went from a low of 92 to a higher of 1000 in 1965.
Providing a capital compounding return of around 10.5% per a year for 23 years.
Such a situation exists in Japan now.
The bear market lows have probably well and truely been seen several years ago, its going through its first big correction - might go sideways here for a few years, but after that should see a very strong long term rally.
Japan is the place to be.
