Chip you obviously fell in love with AUZ and have I done it many times with different stocks, but I try to follow my rules of taking money off the table, but it is hard at times as your dreams get in front of reality!
I backed the truck up on this one back in Sept 17 at 1.6 c and told a few mates to do the same, only to see the SP fall to 1.4, not very popular there for a while! I could not believe the market had not woken up with Flem next door to CLQ with a MC close to $1b and Sconi the cream on the cake, fortunately the SP started to head north and I picked up more at 2.1, but questioned my wisdom when BB walked out half way through his presentation in Honkers at the 121 conference at the end of Oct 17, I thought WTF only to see the SP more than double the next day.
I thought AUZ could get to a $1b MC, but I spoke to few contacts in the cobalt, copper, nickel space and they all told me that they had Buckleys chance of getting the funding for such a huge CapEx for Sconi so I started selling at 13 and completely exited at 8c by Sept 18.
I dodged a bullet on this one as I questioned the quality of the management mainly BB and did not think that they would get the job done.
I have taken some major hits in the battery minerals sector like many have, but thanks to AUZ & KDR have come out in the black.
I think there will be a renewal process of the company for it to keep going, so I will watch from the sidelines as I have for the last 12 months and keep a eye on where these projects may end up, I do not like the trend and if I was holding well I wouldn't.
