Centrica/Spirit Put option back to Cuadrilla has always been there and been disclosed. It would simply hand back their 25% stake to Cuadrilla for a nominal dollar, and any obligations such as future carry.
Not actually a big deal given the never ending frustration and strangulation of UK Shale, which means Cuadrilla can't realistically hit the triggers for this 2nd carry to kick in anyway. Presumably Cuadrilla could then on-sell this interest to another party (who enjoys banging their head repeatedly against brick walls, or takes a longer term view on the tremendous gas asset trapped beneath the ground and beneath the current moratorium and obstructionism).
