Is it not that Declaratory Relief would mean that FAR have PE rights over the JV assets now held by the company WPL Senegal BV.
Would this company not be required to issue a compliant PE notice. Not hard since all the facts will be now known.
If FAR choses to PE does it not pay WPL Senegal BV and uplift the Assets.
Is it actually relevant who owns WPL Senegal BV formerly COP Senegal BV?
As has been said a million times COP and WPL chose to close the sale knowing it to be in dispute!
Is it actually relevant to FAR. An issue for COP and WPL squabbling in the aftermath.
The issue of adjustments undoubtedly more complex
Would not WPL Senegal BV remain Operator until an orderly hand over?
They are the Operator now with obligations.
If the Assets were uplifted would that absolve WPL Senegal BV of those obligations?
I would have thought not!

If there is a backer, (not relevant to the decision, only relevant if FAR choses to exercise, Govt issue), then can’t see them letting FAR off the hook, presuming there were agreements as DB and others have suggested.

Not withstanding BP seem to have been briefed and seem to imply that there is or will be a deal and a path for WPL to remain?
We will see! Wouldn’t want to spook the horses?
Certainly will not be a coincidence that this report comes out now.
