I know it sounds over the top to suggest security at a pre-start meeting, but what other Australian mine has brawls that end in a death at staff meetings? (As reported by media outlets)
Management should have proper training to be able to recognize the demeanor of staff and be capable of de-escalating incidents particularly during work activities.
PLS should in my opinion look into any and all solutions that could prevent an incident of this nature at their site in the future.
