So funds will be used to complete the already announced 5% extra stake in the Manono project?
Perhaps completing the full payment to Dathomir is required to persuade them to agree to restructure Dathcom from an SAS entity to SA?
It could also provide some financial flexibility to purchase an additional 5% of the project, bit I assume this would be an announcement for a later date.
Good to see an investment by a company that is part owned by CATL but new non integrated converters have struggled to meet timelines and claimed capacity targets. I would be interested to learn what the effect capacity of the Yibin Tianyi planned facilities will be.
Would have been nice if it was from a tier 1 or 2 converter but it is a stamp of confidence from Chinese interests that they are keen to see the project develop to production.
Perhaps they are hoping for AVZ to be able to start supplying product when Yibin Tianyi second phase comes online 23/24 which in reality will prob be more like 2025.
This CR also has allowed for greater financial flexibility in completing the DFS and any on site activity required.
Would be beneficial to be able to get a Chairman on board even if it's just to satisfy institutional investors' potential corporate governance concerns.
Overall Manono remains the world's greatest undeveloped hard rock lithium resource but transport and financing still remain the hurdles to production.
