Here are my thoughts re delayes and reasons for going strait to stage 2. Would stage 2 be more suited to treating copper than a stage 1. No I’m not expecting that plant to process copper. Going back, Copper was intecs main game; ie intec copper process Zinc by default took over from that because of cash flow. In 02 or 03 intec wanted to open a copper plant in Qld in the Cloncurry Region. With whom?, as they had less cash then than now, I suspect with their largest shareholder and supplier of seed money Orian Orian via Ivanhoe Australia bought up copper leases in, you guessed it the cloncurry region Qld, and in their own words would like to move to production asap. Ivanhoe in jv with Rio, have stated: they would like to use the intec copper process with their Oyu Tolgoi project in Mongolia ( so why not in Cloncurry? ) While the copper process has been proven to work well in the Burnie Demonstration Plant, Wouldn’t it be more reassuring if it were proven in a full size commercial plant? Enter IMRP (that’s why I asked Dave about Copper, and nothing more! ) Say that I have a wild imagination, maybe so but that’s the game I think is being played out as we speak. Just think of the win win Ivanhoe backs the plant and gets the commercially proven intec process for both Mongolia and Cloncurry Intec gets to keep 100% of the cash from EAFD, and in part repay the financier. If this is not the deal that pw is talking about, then maybe I should put it in their suggestion box. Now when you all stop rolling on the ground with laughter, your comments are welcome
