Of course, that should never be allowed to happen. In a non manipulative market short paper sales of course should only be allowed if the seller has the physical to deliver.

But we can't allow that, can we?

I don't know why we still call all this paper trading in gold and silver by such names.

Why not invent a couple of fantasy names, for the paper trading is a fantasy land with no relation to the real physical commodities.
