The Heads of Agreement study will incorporate a review of potential plant sites in either South Australia or the
Northern Territory for both the chemical and the rare earths processing facilities and is expected to take
approximately six months. The scope also includes the marketing of phosphoric acid and calcium chloride.
A co-located source of chemicals for the Nolans Project will reduce many operating and commercial risks. This
concept will eliminate more than $100m (per annum) in operating costs associated with imported chemicals that
Arafura had assumed in the Company’s 2007 project prefeasibility study.
