    Sorry Hope2008, but that is an extremely fanciful scenario.

    Centro's market cap currently lies around the $200M-$250M....it's debt is many many multiples of that...even if the banks were to only convert $1B of the debt to equity, then shareholder dilution will be a multiple of at least five...and I would dare say that the banks collectively will be looking for far more than $1B....I would say they would be looking for AT LEAST half (if not all) of the debt to be converted into equity, and that would more or less destroy any equity current shareholders now hold.

    It's simple...unless CNP manages to alleviate it's massive debt, and quickly, the banks will own it, and shareholders will have nothing.
