Seems to me too many token women on these boards - not unlike AMP. Gender equality all very well but if you were choosing a brain surgeon - would you choose the best or someone put there to equalise the sexes. Don't get me wrong my two favourite ASX companies are FMG and MQG - both have top notch female ceo's. Suppose company boards and politics are places where it is thought we don't need an emphasis on merit BUT...
