My 2c from someone heavily involved in the Sydney concrete market and dealing with most major and independents Readymix suppliers on a daily basis:

• Customer service "centre" takes forever to get through, literally 15 minutes sometimes... very different to other suppliers.
• Hy-tec never seems to win infra work or go for large scale projects. Hanson, Holcim, Boral win nearly every time.
• in the last 5 years, there has been so much work that you didn't even need good service/sales to get a huge amount of work... i expect further pain in this front as the market slows.
