@willchang409 and @Relax1, the Yangtze River Eco-Environmental Protection Group has just won a large tender to help remediate the Yangtze in Jiangxi Province:

The restoration work will be carried out in Pengze (a county under the administration of the prefecture-level city of Jiujian, situated on the southeast bank of the Yangtze):

The project includes three sub-projects (two of which could possibly of interest to Fluence):
1. restoration of damaged mountain ecological area along the Yangtze River in Pengze County;
2. the sewage system comprehensive treatment project in the central city of Pengze County, and;
3. the sewage treatment demonstration project in Pengze County

Documents relating to the tender state that the second part of the project, the central city sewage system comprehensive treatment project includes: "new advanced treatment process facility, scale of 30,000 tons / day, equipment scale of 15,000 tons / day; expansion project with new pretreatment and biochemical treatment process facilities, scale of 0.75 million tons / day, and the installation of advanced treatment process equipment, the discharge of water to implement the first-class A emission standards".

The third project ("township sewage treatment demonstration project") is to include 12 new township sewage treatment stations.

Its interesting to read this announcement alongside the MABR demonstration project foreshadowed here, during a November 1 meeting with Tony Hargrave and Fluence - where the Yangtze River Eco-Environment Group planned "to introduce MABR as a high-tech, demonstration project ... to support the protection of the Yangtze River."

Regulatory tailwinds are also moving towards a shift in technology in Jiujiang City as the government accelerates the implementation of rural domestic sewage treatment. To encourage uptake the city's is providing special subsidy funds to each village that implements advanced treatment of sewage. "Guidelines for the Operation of Rural Domestic Sewage Treatment in Jiujiang City" also specifies that water treatment in the Yangtze River watershed and other key ecological areas are to meet Level 1A standards and are mainly to promote membrane technology treatment.
