I did a quick look on the Apple appstore and google play store. I believe I have found the same thing you have. Where are all the apps, right?

I believe we haven't found the number of apps and paying subscribers they are reporting because it costs money to list on the aforementioned stores. A lot of the apps on those stores are free because they generate revenue from ads. So there is an investment decision being made here.

I believe the paying subscribers' apps are being promoted on the SMB's social media sites or emailing lists. This makes it extremely difficult for us to "run the ruler" or verify their claims.

I am going to go through their zendesk when i have time and try some apps.

Also. Whether it is an app or not is immaterial to lay business owner (BO). If it provides value, the BO doesn't care what its called. If it was called something else, my guess is the BO wouldn't use it because they don't understand it. "App" is a misnomer but a very strategically chosen one IMO.

Would love to hear your thoughts.

I think you may have misinterpreted the offering. APV's platform is integrated with Facebook and Instagram, which allows you to build an app using the data points on your businesses socials and html link. Saving a lot of time and money for SMB's as well as APV. This is APV's economic moat from competition as well as cross selling products. thanks for posting.
