a) valuation has nothing to do with whether the performance shares should have been granted. There are many factors that contribute to the SP, ARR is just one of them.

b) correct, but there is nothing wrong with doing it

Hypothetically, if I shorted a stock I could get someone to release misleading information to the market and then get people posting misleading information on twitter, stock forums. media etc.
