You are correct, "From smh article, iSignthis has not been implicated in ASIC's attempt to wind up its two former clients."
But that's missing the real point, which is that in the print edition, the headline in BOLD c. 1cm high font, across 33cm (6 of the 10 columns) of the 2 pages it covers) "screams" at the reader:
iSignthis customer Ozifin's $11m win from client losses
and " iSignthis has not been implicated in ASIC's attempt to wind up its two former clients." appears buried amongst the 13 paragraph article.
The overall impression from the headline and the first few paragraphs is appalling, the intended innuendo and deception/misleading of readers by Kruger is clear to anyone who actually knows what is going on.
Anyone not interested in the minute details will totally miss Kruger's one little disclaimer that you showed, as they are unlikely to make it that far through the article. It is blatant click-bait bulldust headlineing. I felt furious when I read it, and I will make my views known to SMH.
