I think this was the inevitable outcome as I've been suggesting. I'd still be interested to know who was running the risk functions. Worth having a look at those payments though.
In what other industry where someone resigns as a result of taking responsibility for a failure of some sort would one get such a payout covering a period when the person won't actually be working?
