After the least couple of years sitting back watching, I firmly believe that every holder here thinks that (in the unlikely chance) if FAR pulls off some sort of win, that the share price is going to soar, that we will somehow hold 50% of the field and that a magical entity is sitting in the wings waiting to help us. If people were rational and sat back and thought about it, consider what would be the consequences to having COP hand back the money and unravelling the sale. Let's be honest here, please, if FAR cannot afford the 35% additional stake, WHY IN THE HELL DID THEY START THIS? If I was the arbitrator, I would ask one simple question of FAR....can you afford to buy it?
CN has stated numerous times that "we want it" Its up to the individual to either believe what management say is true or not but based on that comment if we win PE and dont have a buyer lined up the board would have to go imo....

FAR are merely playing silly games (yes, even if they are right), by merely trying to extort money out of WPL on the basis that they can't afford the 35%, but be damned if anyone else will get it either without paying a fee.

The most disturbing statement that gets mentioned on here is the belief that the Senegalese Govt and Cath Norman are BFFs. When I read this I cringe every time. There has NEVER been any formal statement from either, that the government supports FAR, other than it stating FAR can start the legal stoush, which is purely showing the world that Senegal is embracing democracy and not interfering in the legal system. To me this shows great maturity on the part of the govt, even though they could use the money from the sale of oil. There has not once been any formal indication that WPL are not wanted by the govt and this is pipe dreaming and fantasy on the part of holders.
I dont believe CN and Senegal Govt are BFFs as you put it and you are correct that there has been nothing officially reported that WPL are not wanted its just hearsay... but make no mistake ..FAR definitely have the their blessing to take this to arbitration and would have been crazy not to however your statement regarding the govt showing maturity and WPL not being wanted is just a being a pipe dream is only your opinion and quite ironic given that it has no more merit than those stating otherwise....
Like you but, I firmly believe that the 28th will come, it will go and we will be left wondering, while the share price gets smashed because CN thinks that adopting a cone of silence mentality is somehow a better option.
FAR have had announcements on 01/10 , 15/10 , 18/10 , 24/10 , 30/10 31/10 and latest was a Financial update 13 days ago on 14/11....cone of silence or just a little frustrated ???
