@AlexWaller..... there must be a lot of holders of CSL who don’t even consider a RE entry point, because as history has shown, it’s wiser to remain in CSL than to ever leave it. Yes, it’s quite possible that in a downturn it may drop up to 20%, but CSL has been shown to be well managed, resilient and in The right industry. CSL floated back in The early 90s and us original holders at the original price of $2.30 probably didn’t think that this rate of profit or SP growth was sustainable either, but it would have been extremely unfortunate for us, had we not been in it for the long haul and kept either all or the majority of our holdings. Some have complained that their portfolios are overweight with CSL, but I don’t see that as a particular problem. Biggest problem as I see it... if ever one sells CSL.. is paying the CGT ! CSL is 89% of my wife’s portfolio... fingers crossed ! In summary, holders of CSL are both wise and lucky. Wise because they made the decision to buy a good company, and lucky that the SP has risen to its current level.
Money managers talk about a catalyst for either buying or selling a particular stock. At the moment CSL is well managed, in the right market and is improving both profits and their business. I cant see a catalyst at the moment, certainly to sell, can you ?
