As to the comment that sales people are overpaid idiots I find it hard to believe anyone would say this if they had ever been involved in selling anything.
It doesn't matter how good your product is. No salespeople = no sales. Eager and confident salespeople treated well = plentiful sales.
One might ask why investors (like that poster) think they deserve to be rewarded handsomely from no more personal effort than clicking a BUY button. Being an investor and helping finance a venture into success is a privilege not right. We all coat-tail on the efforts of all those decision makers and sales people. Their welfare is an investment not a cost.
