Actually moondoong, you might be confusing "mixing it up a bit" with a criminal offence.

If say, someone went to Ponytails or similar establishments throughout Asia in locations like Angeles, Manila, Pattaya, Subic and so on, tabled a lady, bought her some drinks and then paid the mamasan the obligatory "Bar Fine" to take that girl out its actually a crime. It's called "human trafficking".

Now let's say that someone paid a girl for sex, that's solicitation/prostitution, also a crime.

In the Philippines these activities, whilst mostly ignored by Law Enforcement ARE at times prosecuted.

Bars lining Field's Avenue in Angeles such as Ponytails can be raided by law enforcement at any time. Whilst rare, it does happen usually because the Bar owners have neglected to pay the obligatory bribes to local officials. When raided, the girls and customers are arrested and can end up in some deep trouble unless able to pay their way out of the dilema. Best not be there if you value your freedom and don't want a criminal conviction.

So I wouldn't be describing these sorts of activities as "getting a bit". It would be highly embarrassing should a Politician/Law Maker be caught up in these activities so let's not trivialise.
