Yeah, good post mate, and I get the feeling this is exactly the desire and strategy of management. They are really going for it. They made a decision to pivot from "deal ready" to "lets go it alone" around the time of Phase 2B results. They raised many an eyebrow with the CR at that juncture, but they were able to leverage the Phase 2B readout to get everything they needed to fund Phase III themselves, leaving them, crucially, protected and in a position of strength for any negotiations with 'Big Pharma'. It looks now like they may even have been fending-off interest at that point, rather than not attracting any. I got the distinct vibe from the AGM that this was because they were focussed on partnering only for a certain reason (sales and distribution makes the most sense, for the US at least) and not trying to position PAR for a full takeover to cash-in and de-risk their personal positions ahead of Phase III results. Ultimately, this strategy hammers home the feeling that they are legitimately in this for the duration, they have complete faith in the product and it's ability to come through Phase III trials with flying colours. This is why people are talking about 30 bags from here, because they aren't itching to sell. Management are oozing confidence in taking PPS the whole way to being THE go-to treatment for OA globally.
